Learn how to configure, send immediately or schedule Slack invitations.

With our enhanced Event Communications, you can now manage your Slack invitations seamlessly. This guide will walk you through the steps to configure your Slack invitations, send them immediately, or schedule them for later.


In order to access to Slack invitations, first click on "Event" card you'd like to invite guests and navigate to the "Communications" tab. From here, click "Invite guests" option in the Invitations section and select "Slack" as your delivery method.

Configure your Slack Invitation

  1. Select or Deselect Calendar Add-On:

    • By default, the Calendar Add-On checkbox is checked, meaning a calendar invite will be sent alongside your Slack invitation.

    • To avoid sending a calendar invite, simply uncheck the box.

  2. Add a Custom Message:

    • Click, "Add a custom message" option to personalize your invitation.

    • Customize the content to suit your event and audience and Save message.

  3. Select Slack Channels:

    • In the "Select channels" section, select the Slack channels you want to invite.

    • You can select multiple channels to ensure broader reach.

  4. Preview the Invitation:

    • After you are done with the configuration, click the "Preview" option at the top to see how the invitation will appear on Slack.

Send Immediately

  1. Make sure you've selected your Slack channels and inputted your custom message.

  2. Click the "Send now" button to dispatch the invitation right away.

Schedule

  1. Make sure you've selected your Slack channels and inputted your custom message.

  2. Click the "Calendar" icon to set a schedule.

  3. Select the date and time you want the invitation to be sent. Your schedule date/time should be before your event start date/time.

  4. Confirm the schedule by clicking "Continue" option.

  5. Click the "Schedule" button.
