With our enhanced Event Communications, managing your calendar invitations is simple and efficient. This guide will help you configure your invitations, send them immediately, or schedule them for later.


In order to access to Slack invitations, first click on "Event" card you'd like to invite guests and navigate to the "Communications" tab. From here, click "Invite guests" option in the Invitations section and select "Calendar" as your delivery method.

Configure your Email Invitation

  1. Select your preferred calendar:

    • By default, your personal calendar is selected.

    • You can choose a different calendar from the dropdown if you want your event to appear under a shared calendar at your organization.

  2. Send an email notification:

    • Optionally, you can send an email notification alongside the calendar invitation.

    • By default, the Email Add-On checkbox is not checked, meaning an email invite will not be sent alongside your calendar invitation.

    • If you'd like to send an email invite alongside your calendar invite, simply check the box.

  3. Select guests:

    • Choose from "Groups," "Contact lists," "Offices," or individual "Contacts."

    • You can see "Selected" guests on the right column.

    • Ensure you have selected all relevant recipients to maximize engagement.

Send Immediately

  1. Make sure you've selected your guests.

  2. Click the "Send now" button to dispatch the invitation right away.

Schedule

  1. Make sure you've selected your guests.

  2. Click the "Calendar" icon to set a schedule.

  3. Select the date and time you want the invitation to be sent. Your schedule date/time should be before your event start date/time.

  4. Confirm the schedule by clicking "Continue" option.

  5. Click the "Schedule" button.
