Set your event budget, change event budget currency and link groups to your event.

Managing your event budget efficiently is crucial for ensuring a successful event. Our event budget tracking feature allows you to set your event budget, change the event budget currency, link groups to your event, and add and edit expenses. Follow the steps below to get started.


Setting an Event Budget

  1. Select the event you want to set a budget from your "Events" page and navigate to the "Budget" tab.

  2. Click "Set event budget" option in the "Event budget" card.

  3. Input the event budget amount and click "Save".

  4. Congratulations, your event budget is set!

Changing Event Budget Currency

  1. Within your event "Budget" tab, click "Manage settings" option.

  2. You will see an option to select the currency for your event budget and the default currency is set to USD.

  3. Choose your preferred currency from the dropdown menu (If you don't see the currency option you'd like to use, please reach out to your Admin).

  4. If you proceed, your currency type will change, but please note that any recorded spending will remain in its original value and will not be converted to match the new currency selected.

  5. Click "Save" to apply changes.

Linking a Group to the Event

If your event is organized by a group, it's important to link your event to the associated group. Linking a group to your event, allows you to track group spending on a higher level and ensures that your event spending is deducted from the group budget.

Please note if you want to link multiple groups, the group currencies should match. When multiple groups are linked to an event, event expenses will be evenly deducted from linked groups' budgets, ensuring a fair and equal distribution across all linked groups.

  1. Within your event "Budget" tab, click "Manage settings" option.

  2. Choose the groups you'd like to link to your event from the dropdown menu. If you want to link multiple groups, the group currencies should match.

  3. Click “Save” to link the selected groups to the event.

  4. Once you save, your linked groups will be displayed as chips on the event budget overview. You can easily navigate to the group page by clicking on the chip.
